Lonestar Shootoff
aTm Aggies Vs. Longhornstu

Sporting Clays Extravaganza
I am thinking about a good natured, large scale, once a year, charity shoot with shooters
representing Texas A&M and the University of Texas. I want to get the word out
to current students, former students, families and loyal fans of the schools. I figure it
could be hosted one year here in C.S at Tonkaway and then the next year at Capitol City.
I have no idea if the universities will be legally able to sanction this due to our strange
fixation with shotguns, but I will look into it. We will need a charity to donate to.
We will need a mechanism to spread the word.
I started a loose thread on the bulletin board of www.shooterspagetx.com
I think Fall dates will interfere with football games, perhaps Spring.  I would appreciate
all you old Ags & Texas Ex's out there giving me some feedback on this.
I met some great Aggies & Longhorns in Houston at the Texas Challenge Shoot II
and I will see if they can help get the clay flying. I know that Capitol City tried a version back
in the fall with former UT & A&M football players that now play in the NFL and it didn't work.
I'm hoping this concept will.  I think it would be cool to have a unique concept to the event
that isn't overly complicated but perhaps different from the normal NSCA tournament structure.
I am not an event planner or organizer so I'm hoping someone with more talent for
these things can help get this concept going.  I have contacted Mr. Dwyer at Capitol City.
It'd be cool if we could get a A&M vs UT theme going complete with shirts and everything.

I have asked White Flyer if they can make some maroon and burnt orange clays.
Lets bring new meaning to the term " SHOOT IT " Ags.
I will try to get the Assoc. of Former Students to run a story in the Texas Aggie.
