The putter heads are machined by hand from exotic woods using a milling machine. I collect rough blocks of wood from all over the world & buy only the woods I think have exceptional grain & color.

The woods I choose are high density & very hard. Some woods I use have densities higher than water which means they sink ! This is useful in wood putter design because we need to add weights inside the putter head to get the head weight up to around 300g - 350g. Hardness is also a key factor & some of the wood species I have are the hardest know to man

About us
Located in the beautiful Colorado Rocky Mountains, IronWood Putters is the vision of Jason Strickland who wanted a unique personalized putter but was tired of the modern futuristic putters that flooded the market place. So he set about building a wood putter & found out people at his local course liked it so much he began to make them for everybody.
